Hello, I'm Chen Hongji👋, graduating from The University of Tokyo. I'm a Software Engineer with 17 months of internship experience in Python RAG backend, 1 yoe in React.js frontend, and some experience in FastAPI. I enjoy programming, gaming, and traveling by car.
About me
After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from South China University of Technology, I decided to pursue my passion for programming and my dream of studying in Japan. I left my job to prepare for the Japanese University Master's Entrance Examination and was admitted to the Department of EEIS at The University of Tokyo. My research focuses on radar signal processing and unsupervised machine learning. This journey has deepened my appreciation of Japanese culture and broadened my international perspective. My core tech stack includes Python (RAG, FastAPI) and TypeScript (React.js). I am always eager to learn new technologies, such as Node.js, Nest.js, Next.js, and Golang. My goal is to become an excellent Full-Stack Engineer.

Tech-Base machine learning event
I participated in a machine learning event organized by Tech-Base. I made a CNN model to classify images of different types of pens and pencils to hopefully help stuffs in Itoya-Ginza to classify them.

I made a search program using OpenSearch and LangChain to search similar context from a large document, with the help of LLM.

Rakuten internship
I participated in an internship at Rakuten. I implemented the API of adding coupon information for businesses and searching for stores that are offering discounts on food items and the details of discounted food items by food type and store name using SQLite and Django Rest Framework.
